Global Movement

For the past 60 years, Mannahouse has prayed all over the world, trained thousands of qualified leaders and has outreached to people in need of the Gospel, hope and healing.

WHAT IS GLOBAL MOVEMENT?

Individuals, couples and families have left home and immersed themselves in communities and cities unknown to them.

In addition to 25 church plants across the United States, Mannahouse has planted churches and sent missionaries to multiple nations around the world including but not limited to:

Australia, Cambodia, Canada, Egypt, Indonesia, Japan, South East Asia, Malaysia, Mexico, Myanmar, Romania, South Africa, Spain, Turkey, and Uganda.

God has called us to continue impacting these communities and other nations with Jesus Christ.

OUR GOALS

  • Send multiple short-term missions teams annually to cities and nations where members of our Global Movement are already on the ground.
  • Launch 100 new church plants in North America.
  • Send 30 additional missionaries into key nations where the majority of people are unreached.
  • Be a vital part in helping our missionaries reach the final 58 unreached people groups in a nation in Southeast Asia.
  • Establish and provide resources for eight church-planting hubs in strategic nations of the world.
  • Translate additional Portland Bible College courses into languages that could be used to train emerging leaders in those nations including Spanish and Japanese.
  • Build an online repository complete with church-building leadership resources so that church planters and missionaries anywhere in the world can access them free of charge.

We encourage members of Mannahouse to pray for our church planters and missionaries as well as commit to financially supporting the vision, and going in person to reach the nations. ACCELERATE LEADERSHIP INTENSIVES

At Mannahouse, we’ve taken over 70 years of expertise in building and strengthening leaders and distilled the best parts into a three-day intensive format. Whether you are called to serve in ministry, lead a small business, or pastor a local church, we’ll help guide you as you go further and faster on your leadership journey.

This year, we are excited and honored to host Dave Patterson from The Father’s House in Vacaville, CA, and Jonathan Wilkins from City Life Church in San Francisco, CA, as our guest speakers. With combined ministry and leadership experience of over 50 years, each speaker brings a unique leadership focus and a powerful message of encouragement and motivation to all leaders.

Want to become a missionary, but only looking to explore for a short amount of time? Mannahouse short term missions spend about 1-2 weeks in length spreading the Gospel to other nations through our Storm Team!

Frequent questions about storm teams:

WHO CAN GO ON A STORM TEAM?

The short answer is EVERYONE!  While not everyone can, or is called to, pack up all their belongings and become career missionaries, most can, and should, go on short term trips to serve others and also grow themselves. Anyone who has the heart to serve others can join a team.

WHAT IS THE AGE REQUIREMENT TO PARTICIPATE ON A STORM TEAM?

  • Applicants must be at least 12 years of age unless otherwise noted for a specific trip.
  • All applicants 18 years and under must receive parental approval.
  • Applicants under the age of 16 must be accompanied by a parent who satisfies the application process.
  • Applicants over the age of 16 but under 18 may attend without a parent but must have parental permission and fulfill the requirements of the application process.

HOW DO I APPLY TO BE PART OF A STORM TEAM?

  • After reading this, click the "Apply for a Storm Team" button at the bottom of the page to go to the application.
  • Choose a Destination Country.
  • Create a username and password by selecting ‘I do not have a ManagedMissions login’. Save this login and password, you will use it many times in the process of preparing for your trip.
  • Fill out the application. (Note: This may take up to 30 minutes. Progress cannot be saved).
  • Submit a $50 Non-Refundable Application Fee. (Note: This fee will go toward the final cost of your trip.  This fee is required to pay for the application process.)
  • You will be asked to submit a pastoral reference. Have your Group Leader or Campus Pastor’s email ready.
  • Once the application has been processed and the Pastoral Reference Form has been completed, you’ll receive communication from your trip leader.

WHAT DOES THE TRIP COST INCLUDE AND EXCLUDE?

  • The trip cost covers the flight, meals on the ground, ministry supplies, transportation on the ground, and lodging.
  • It does not include passport fees, airport meals, snacks, or souvenirs.

HOW WILL I KNOW MY APPLICATION WAS RECEIVED?

You should receive an email within minutes of applying, confirming that Mannahouse has received your application. If you do not receive this email, please contact the Global Department at stormteamsgo@gmail.com.

HOW DO I DONATE TO SOMEONE’S TRIP?

  • To give with cash, fill out a giving envelope at any of the Mannahouse campuses. Be sure to note on the envelope that the money is designated toward a specific team member on a specific STORM team. (I.e: STORM team to Mexico, toward Jane Doe’s trip costs)
  • To give online toward a particular team member’s trip costs, ask that individual to send you their giving link. The funds will automatically be put towards their overall trip costs.
  • If you are wanting to give to the costs of an overall team but not a specific individual, click any of the “Give Now” buttons under the above-mentioned teams, and you will be directed to give toward the team who’s button you click. Your giving will be given towards helping the entire team become fully funded.
  • A 2% fee will be deducted from any donations made by credit card.
  • All gifts towards STORM team expenses are tax-deductible.

WHAT ABOUT PASSPORTS & VISAS?

  • If your passport expires less than six months after your departure date, you will need to renew your passport as soon as possible. Travel visa requirements vary from country to country and will be determined for each trip.
  • If you have a non-U.S. passport, you are responsible for finding out if a visa is required for you to travel to a specific country.
  • Apply now for a passport if you don’t have one.
  • Click here for the government passport application page

WHAT IF I DON’T SPEAK THE LANGUAGE WHERE WE ARE GOING?

Our hosts and our teams will provide interpreters to help communicate whenever necessary. However, consider learning some phrases in the language of the country you are traveling to in order to help yourself and your team get around, as well as honor the people and culture that your are visiting. There are many free apps available, such as Duolingo that can help you learn!
